Personal Health Records (PHR) are a growing trend in the medical industry. Using SynaMed’s Personal Health Records system, patients will be able to enter all of their past medical history and emergency contact information.

Physician Access to Patients’ PHR
Patients will be able to give access to their Personal Health Record to their personal physicians or emergency healthcare workers in the case of an emergency. This will allow physicians quick access to information such as the patient’s allergies, past surgeries, current and past medications, and other medical conditions. A wallet-sized card will be provided to patients containing login information for providers who would like to access their PHR. Patients can carry this card at all times so that it will be available for healthcare providers in emergency situations. When the physician logs into the patient’s health record, a report will be generated in PDF format containing this information. The patient has complete control over what information he wants to be included in this report.
