Purpose: Allows the user to customize the description of ICD9s on a group level.

Buttons Description
Delete Selected This button will delete the checked off custom descriptions.
Submit Changes This button will submit any changes made to the custom descriptions.
Create New ICD9 Description This button will allow the user to make a new custom description.

 

Customize an ICD9 description:

  1. Click “Create New ICD9 Description”.

  2. In the “Create New ICD9 Overwrite” popup enter the ICD9 you wish to customize in the ICD9 field.

  3. Click the “Search” button. A list of ICD9s that match your description will appear in a box.

  4. Select the ICD9 that you wish to customize from the box.

  5. Enter the new ICD9 description you wish to use in the “Description” field.

  6. If you wish to cancel this, click the “Cancel” button. Otherwise, click the “Submit” button.

 

Delete a customized ICD9 description:

  1. Click “Create New ICD9 Description”.

  2. Selected the ICD9 descriptions you wish to delete by clicking the check box next to that custom ICD9 descr iption. Note: The user is allowed to select multiple custom ICD9 descriptions to delete.

  3. Click the “Delete Selected” button.

 

Modify an ICD9 description:

  1. Located the IDC9 you wish to modify.

  2. Modify or enter a new description in the “Description” field.

  3. Click the “Submit Changes” button.
