The Allergies section contains the patient's history of allergies.

Functional Items Description

NKDA

This button is utilized when the patient has no known drug allergies.

Add

Clicking the add button pops up the window below to enable the user to add medication. User must enter reaction after entering the medication.

 

Note: 'Click' [Add] to add the medication. 'Pressing' Enter will not save the allergic reaction.

Delete

Once the medication is added, a checkbox appears below the Delete column allowing the user to select medications to be deleted by clicking on the checkbox and then clicking on the Delete button.

NOTE: Office visit information is saved every time you move onto a new tab or by clicking "Save and Go To Patient Menu". You may experience multiple listings of the same visit for a day. Select the session that you might have digressed from earlier and continue with that session. All other sessions for that day can be ignored or marked for deletion. Please exercise precaution when deleting office visit(s).

Is it possible to have a pre-populated list of reactions to allergies?

Yes, you can customize the drop-down list of reactions.

What’s the difference between “allergies” and “system allergies”? 

System allergies are common allergies.  It just helps you add allergies a little quicker.
