Tips:
- You can quickly edit dropdown lists by using "Edit..." at the
bottom of every dropdown list or auto complete list.
- SynaMed has implemented drug-to-drug and allergy-to-drug interaction
warning messages. This feature is here to assist you in detecting potential
drug and allergy interactions and should not be used as a sole source of
medication information. Please consult the packet inserts of the drugs or
the pharmaceutical company of the drug(s) you are prescribing.
To eliminate the time-consuming process of searching for patient's
diagnoses and matching ICD9 codes, SynaMed provides you with the dynamic
and unique patented feature for suggesting diagnoses.

based on information you provide through ROS, Med History and Physical
Exam.
-
Each clinical finding is tagged with a universal
diagnosis code called the ICD-9.

suggestions back again the next time you return to this page.

| Activate/Inactivate/Add Diagnosis |
·
If you want to activate the given suggested
diagnosis, you can make your selection of status from the dropdown list which
is initially set to “Suggested”.
·
Selecting “Active” or “Inactive” from the dropdown
list pops up the “Add Diagnosis” window below.
·
When a suggested diagnosis is selected to be active,
an Add Diagnosis window will be prompted with a list of more specific
ICD-9 codes. If the suggested ICD-9 code is the most specific ICD-9 of its
diagnosis class, only this particular ICD-9 code will be listed for
selection.
·
Clicking Add, the suggested diagnosis
will be made active.
·
Diagnoses cannot be deleted but can be made inactive
when a suggested or active diagnosis is selected to be inactive.
· You also have the capability to add diagnoses.
Diagnoses are searchable by key words or by ICD-9 codes.
|
| Delete Suggested |
Users
can eliminate all suggested diagnoses by selecting this button. Only
active and inactive diagnoses will remain. |
The results are determined from the ROS, Medication History, and Physical
Exam sections. Each clinical finding is tagged with a universal diagnosis
code called the ICD-9 and are suggested by the program. With SynaMed,
physicians are given intelligent suggestions of ICD-9 codes in which
selections are made.
NOTE: Office visit information is saved every time you move onto a
new tab or by clicking "Save and Go To Patient Menu". You may

that you might have digressed from earlier and continue with that session.
All other sessions for that day can be ignored or marked for deletion. Please
exercise precaution when deleting office visit(s).
