Profile
The Physician's Profile will only appear when you log in as a physician.
In here the physician is able to maintain his/her own physician profile
information. The Physician's Profile contains the practicing physician's
information including business addresses, Identification Numbers, Specialty,
etc.
To change your password, enter the new password and confirm the new
password in the two fields in the profile. If you do not want to change
your password, leave the password text fields blank.
All fields marked with an * are required.

| User ID |
Unique User Login ID for physicians

| Title |
Physician title dropdowns are listed. You can add titles
that are not already included by selecting "Maintaining Miscellaneous
Dropdown" in the main menu, then selecting title and update. |
| Board Certification |
If a physician has more than one Board
Certification, the primary Board Certification should be inputted.

| Specialty |
Physician should put the primary specialty practiced
in clinic. |
| Business Name |
The business name will appear on the header
of all printed records including the patient note, procedure reports,
and prescriptions. |
| Languages |
The physician is able to select the languages that
are spoken in his office. If it is more than one, you can select it
by holding down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and clicking on the
various languages. This will save it in the system. |
| Transcriptionist |
To use SynaMed's integrated
transcription management function, you must fill in a transcriber. The
transcriber must have a special account with SynaMed to make full use
of transcription management. If not, please have the company contact
SynaMed at 1-866-SynaMed toll free. |
| Font Size |
To change the font size of
your office note print outs, select your desired font size here. |
| Prescription State |
Each state has its own
prescription printout requirements. Some states prefer the printout to
be in landscape mode. Please type in your state here for the changes
to take effect when you print out prescriptions. |
FAQ:
What is the use of the information in the user
profile (i.e. medical school, etc)?
Most of the information here is used for billing,
prescribing, and creating the header for the printed office note. Medical
school is not currently used for anything, but may be used to help verify
credentials in the future.
Is it possible to add referring doc to physician’s
profile?
You cannot add it to the doctor’s profile but you can
add it to the patient’s demographic info.
